Our Projects
No Children Left Behind
"No Children Left Behind" is a project funded by the Embassy of the United States in Peru. It started in November 2018 and was executed in a collaboration between the association “Ser Azul es Emprender”, in Cusco, and “Warmakuna Hope”, in Manchay, Pachacamac District, Lima.
Due to this project, it has been possible to establish a support model for families in poverty who have a child with a disability. We were able to address the problems experienced, such as providing access to therapeutic services, empower the families, and promote school and community inclusion.
Our Projects
Communication is hope!
“Communication is Hope” project was the winner of the Backus #MeUno 2019 competitive fund, being selected from among 500 proposals.
This project aimed to facilitate the inclusion in school and society of children with intellectual disabilities who live in poverty, strengthening the growth of their communication skills.
Ten children received free speech therapy and had access to customized materials according to their needs, which were developed using specialized software.
In addition to this, workshops were held to empower the parents in terms of rights and inclusive education.
